A Note From Dan
— Dan Hanlon, Co-Owner since 2003.
Dan Hanlon co-founded Red Level Renovations in 2003 with John Perantoni. The two had spent years on Atlanta job sites — Dan in the field, John on the business end — and started the company on a simple premise: take on fewer projects, do them properly, work with the homeowner directly through the whole thing.
Started with rough carpentry before moving into full-house renovations.

Over two decades later, that framework hasn't really changed. Red Level runs a handful of historic renovations and additions at any one time — most in the older intown neighborhoods like Druid Hills, Inman Park, Virginia-Highland, and Ansley Park. Dan still walks every site weekly.
Not optional. Not delegated.

He works closely with the architects on each project — Soorikian, Historical Concepts, and others — translating drawings into something a crew can actually execute, and flagging the conflicts before they cost the client money.
Most of the work happens before a single nail is driven.

Outside the office, Dan lives in Atlanta. He's been involved in restoring multiple homes within Druid Hills' historic district and pays close attention to the city's preservation work.
Old houses outlive trends. They deserve the right hands.
